PROGRAMS

The courses present
five clinical models approved by the World Federation of Music Therapy
in the World Conference in Washington (1999): the
Benenzon model, the creative Nordoff-Robbins music therapy, Helen
Bonny’s G.I.M., M. Priestley’s analytical music therapy, behavioural
music therapy. Besides these models, the vibroacoustic therapy by Olav
Skille is presented to the students. Students are trained to apply these
models practically in order to work in Italy (Benenzon
and Nordoff-Robbins models). The other models need further training.
Music skills are developed and aimed at professional employment;
scientific and clinical training complete the educational course.
Finally, a 250 hour practical training period with a tutor introduces
the students to the work environment and helps them to plan and put into
operation their first rehabilitative treatment.
